Nursery Funded Places
What are Nursery Funded Places
We offer government-funded nursery places for eligible children aged 3–4 years. All funded early education places are free at the point of delivery.
Funded Entitlements
All 3–4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours funded childcare per week. Some families may be eligible for 30 hours funded childcare, depending on working status and income. Parents can check eligibility and apply via HM Government Childcare Choices.
Session Times
15-hour Funded Places:
Morning Session: 8.30am – 11.30am
Afternoon Session: 12.15 – 3.15
30 Hour Funded Places (for eligible families):
Funded Hours: 8.30am – 2.30pm
Extended Provision (chargeable)
An optional extended session is available from 2:30pm – 3:15pm.
Cost: £3.50 per child, per day. This session is not part of the funded entitlement. It is entirely optional.
Where taken, this must be:
- Booked in advance
- Part of a regular attendance pattern
It is not available as a daily ad hoc option.
Lunch Arrangements (30 hour only)
Children attending for the full day should bring a packed lunch from home. There is no charge for lunchtime supervision.
Additional Charges
We do not charge for access to funded nursery places.
Additional charges may apply for:
- Optional trips
- Visits
- Experiences
These charges are:
- Voluntary
- Not a condition of accessing a funded place
