Breakfast and after-school clubs

The Out of hours Play Scheme provides places for children who attend Woodthorne Primary School and are of compulsory school age (there is no provision for children attending Woodthorne Nursery).

Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club provides places for children who attend Woodthorne Primary School and are of compulsory school age (there is no provision for children attending Woodthorne Nursery). The Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am until the start of the school day during term time. A daily charge of £4.00 per session will be made, regardless of the time a child arrives.

During the after school club session children are provided with drinks and a snack. This is usually shortly after everyone arrives and again around 5.00pm. Children have water or milk to drink and fruit to eat. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated if necessary.

During Breakfast Club the children will be served a breakfast of cereals, toast and a drink. They will eat their meal in the company of other children, supervised by staff.

During Holiday Club parents are required to provide their child with a packed lunch each day. During the sessions children are provided with drinks and snacks.

      After School Club

The After School Club runs from 3:10pm until 6:00pm every weekday during term time. A daily charge of £6.50 will be made regardless of the time a child is collected. We reserve the right to make an additional charge of £6.50 for any child collected after 6.00pm. Continued lateness to collect a child may result in the loss of the child’s place.

A selection of sports, crafts, board games, co-operative games and table-top activities (jigsaws etc.) are available. We also have access to the computer suite, a large connect four, the “quiet” area, access to the library, Lynn’s Garden and outdoor activities, dependent upon the weather. Throughout the year we try to include celebrations which reflect the multi-cultural community in which we operate.
