The teacher in RH did some lovely creative learning this week with the children. Off the back of a conversation with a couple of children who were interested in what happens with the bins at school. Miss Hodgkiss took them out to look at our bin store. The children chatted about how much waste we produce and the teacher introduced the concepts of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle with the young children.
On Friday they got an even bigger treat as the recycling lorry came and the kind workers agreed to move a bin to do a demonstration of what they do with the rubbish. This really captivated the imaginations of the children who are now choosing to write, draw and be creative with the theme.
