Woodthorne children have started back at school with a project to encapsulate their experiences of lockdown 2020. This week they buried time capsules to mark this significant historical year.

Every child at school has contributed to these capsules by writing or drawing about their experiences of lockdown. This wonderful project has allowed children to open up about their feelings as they start back at school.

Mr Hinkley led the burial ceremonies and said he was incredibly proud of the efforts of the children which he hopes will remain buried for 50 years. He commented that he was delighted at how well the children have embraced their return to school with great spirits and keen to learn.

The below photo of burial ceremony features Year 2 children Maya Cesar, Lyra and Ava with Mr Hinkley. Well done to everyone involved with this project.
